Criminal Investigations Unit
The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit is made up of five Detectives with various degrees of responsibility. The Detectives investigate Felony cases and are members of several Task Forces. Each Detective has their own particular area of expertise.
Chief of Investigations Ryan Allar has been in the Criminal Investigations Unit since 2005 and has been in charge of our investigations unit since 2008. Chief Allar is a member of the Belmont County Domestic Violence Task Force and the Belmont County Sexual Predator Initiative (SPII) Task Force. Detective Sergeant Rusty Lucey has been assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit since June of 2011 and primarily investigates burglaries. Detective Andrea Gatti has been assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit since May of 2011 and primarily investigates Domestic Violence offenses and Sex Crimes. Detective Gatti is a member of the Belmont County Domestic Violence Task Force and the Belmont County Sexual Predator Internet Initiative (SPII) Task Force.
